| ATLANTI INVISIBILI is a piece where materials coming from several cities gather together in one, to build up a place of listening where not only cultures and people are together - like everywhere in Europe today - but also uses sounds, geographies, natural elements and conflicts as a presentation space the radio broadcasting. Also related to the Ars Electronica theme 'information macht krieg', the piece use sounds coming from military operations, conflicts, wars, and radio announcements as well. Not only a trip into geography but also in time, history, memory. Kind of human landscape coming out from voices and sound, ATLANTI INVISIBILI defines its shape through personal and collective time. A.I. use a materials coming from several years of travelling and meeting , from country to country, from people to people. Mostly of the time meetings with people which is not represented in the hierarchy of the Western world society system. 'Normal' people with 'normal' lives, old people, children, met in private situations. This kind of proceed is related to Roberto Paci Dalo' and Patrizio Esposito's 'Cospirazioni' project, a long term exploration of sounds and voices which is presented as events in a rather private way, always in places out of the regular art circuits. 'Cospirazioni' will start soon the publishing of CDs and books about this experience. ATLANTI INVISIBILI is part of the ATLAS LINZ project - a net project and sound installation in public space - in the frame of the 'European Cultural Month Linz September 1998' and the Ars Electronica Festival. |
