transfert graz roma wien is an artistic research project dealing with terms such as "transmission", "transfert", "transformation", and "translocation". Transmission creates differences, produces another reality. Not the putatively transmitted, but the process of creating differences is the actually real aspect of transmission.
The delays inherent in every transmission are an important part in the artistic interpretation of this transfer between Rome, Vienna, and Graz, and the superposition of and interaction between these delays. Artists in three towns: connected via ISDN lines and mobile phones, they are stations within this performance, become scenes of rotating sounds. The French composer Brice Pauset contributes with harpsichord tunes from the Vienna Konzerthaus, from the streets of Rome, people call in via mobile phones reading texts by Athanasius Kircher and Sigmund Freud, and finally everything comes together at the ORF studio in Graz: in the foyer, Michael Moser tunes in with his cello and Italian artist Roberto Paci Daló is mixing and manipulating the incoming sounds and sends them back to the Vienna Konzerthaus and on air and on line.

transfert graz roma wien ist ein künstlerisches Forschungsprojekt zu den Begriffen "Übertragung", "Transfert", "Transformation" und "Translokation". Übertragung erzeugt Differenz, produziert eine andere Wirklichkeit. Nicht das vermeintlich Übertragene, sondern der Prozess; der Erzeugung von Differenz ist das eigentlich Reale der Ü;bertragung.
Als künstlerisches Gestaltungsmittel im akustischen Transfer zwischen Rom, Wien und Graz kommt die jeder Übertragung eigene Verzögerung und die Überlagerung dieser delays zum Tragen. Die Künstler in drei Städten: verbunden über ISDN-Leitungen und Mobiltelefonen, werden sie zu Stationen einer Übertragungsleistung, zu Schauplätzen der rotierenden Sounds. Aus Wien liefert der französische Komponist Brice Pauset Klänge seines Cembalospiels im Wiener Konzerthaus, aus den Straßen Roms werden telefonisch Texte von Athanasius Kircher und Sigmund Freud rezitiert, im ORF Landesstudio in Graz kommt schließlich alles zusammen; im Foyer liefert Michael Moser auf dem Cello live noch einen Beitrag, der italienische Künstler Roberto Paci Daló mixt und manipuliert die Sounds und sendet sie wieder ins Wiener Konzerthaus und on air und on line.
