Based on a score written by Mia Zabelka and Pauline Oliveros, a piece will be performed tonight which can not only be perceived in different interpretations (instrumental / electronic), but also in different environments, sites: at the Konzerthaus and the Café Prückel in Vienna as well as on air and on line.

The concert will be performed by Mia Zabelka's One.Night.Band - an always newly formed group of musicians and sound artists composed every time specifically for a project, a concert - playing together with Pauline Oliveros, Alvin Curran, and Mia Zabelka. The One.Night.Band represents unique unrepeatable collaborative situations. Tonight, following musicians are participating as One.Night.Band:
Max Nagl, Pia Palme, Johannes Groysbeck and Zahra Mani.

Due to a concept of Max Neuhaus, a specific spacial sound architecture will be created at the Konzerthaus.

Mia Zabelka and Gerhard Potuznik, on the other hand, will pick up the sound of the live performance at the Konzerthaus and to rework the piece digitally, with electronics. The second part of the performance takes place at the Café Prückel where both artists will sample and recycle the instrumental sounds and create a new electronic piece.

The on air version comprises both parts of the performance, the instrumental and the digital interpretation of the score and will be mixed live for radio by Mia Zabelka.
Consequently, the radio version for Kunstradio combines and unites the sequently and in different environment performed parts to a new piece.

A further radio version mixed by Alvin Curran and providing a survey of all three parts of the piece will be broadcast by Kunstradio around the end of the year.

The idea is to show that in times of sampling and digital recording and processing of sound, an absolute conception of a piece in the sense of an "ultimate" work has become obsolete, has lost its validity.
