In his new radio work, Belgrade based radio artist Arsenije Jovanovic focuses on the regenerating power and enormous efforts of women in the course of rebuilding war-bombed cities and countries. Beginning with the so-called "Trümmerfrauen" (a German expression used to describe the women who cleared away the rubble and played an important role for the reconstruction work after World War II) in Austria and Germany, Jovanovic also commemorates the women of today's battle zones and trouble spots who ensure that a recommencement is possible. Their vigor is seemingly diametrically opposed to the destructiveness of men.

Contextwise, "Schutt Parade" is connected to the sound installation and radio work by Mia Zabelka and Zahra Mani "Dora_Woman of the Ruins" which was presented on Kunstradio at the beginning of June. 60 years after the end of WW II, this piece, too, is dedicated to the "Trümmerfrauen", Dora substitutionally lending them her voice. Dora's quotations are also part of the piece "Schutt Parade".
