| „TIEFENSONDE
02“ is a sonic collage destilled from the depths of the valley
Krastal in the Austrian region of Carinthia. It was developed during
their residency at the organisation [kunstwerk] krastal and was
performed live on Saturday, 23rd June 2012, at 6pm in the EBOARDMUSEUM
Klagenfurt. In their new work, alien productions deal with buried, forgotten and denied things. A acoustic archeologists the artists embark upon a search for the histories of the Krastal and the sounds of its depths. They drive a system of tubes and pipes into the underground, a listening device that can heave up secrets, hidden realities and the murmurs of depths below us. A depth sensor registers the tremors and vibrations of the ground, which feeds into the acoustic exploration. Hence the entire valley starts to speak, revealing its history and stories.
