is a long-term duo project by the Vienna-based artists Billy Roisz and
dieb13. In October 2012, upon an invitation by MOBILE RADIO (Knut
Aufermann and Sarah Washington), they participated in the Biennial of
São Paulo in Brazil. During strolls through the city they made
„classical“ field recordings, typical city sounds such as
traffic, crowds of people and machines, as well as recordings of the
electomagnetic environments of these sonic situations by using
self-made copper wire coils. These recordings have been mixed, arranged, and processed for the radio piece „MAGNETIC FIELDS SAO PAULO REVISITED“, resulting in a polymorphous, artistic interpretation of the acoustic and electromagnetic topology of the city of São Paulo.
