Sheila Concari ist Autorin, Klangkünstlerin und bildenden Künstlerin. Sie spielt mit der Interaktion von Stimme, neuen Technologien und Poesie, wobei sie auch Brücken zu Video und Performance schlägt.

Ursprünglich der Oper und dem Belcanto verpflichtet, hat Concari die zeitgenössische Musik durchquert und ist nun bei der experimentellen Musik angelangt. Sheila Concari is a performer, writer, sound and visual artist. She plays with interaction of voice, new technologies and poetry as well as video and performance, exploring electronic treatments on singing and acting.

Through transformations, distortions, spiritual and anatomic hallucinations, she reveals the deepest and most secret obsessions, frustrations, fantasies, manipulating all abstract certitudes about sex, religion, icons, desire, punishment, good and evil.

Originally devoted to opera and Belcanto, she crossed the contemporary music to come to experimental, and she now likes to consider voice a substance painting a clear picture of the unclear, to make sense with the nonsense, to soften the terrifying as well as matching the most aggressive with the most delicate, material with immaterial, cold with heat.
