Sie wurde als vielseitige Sängerin, Komponistin und Instrumentalmusikerin bekannt (u.a. auch für die Rockband "Tone Dogs" und "Nudes", bei der sie mit Chris Cutler und Wädi Gysi spielt). Sie spielt und tourt auch mit dem Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet (riene Frauenband.
Sie nahm als Sängerin an dem CD-Projekt von George Cartwright und Tom Cora "Curlew" teil, das von Gedichten von Paul Haines ausging.
Sie komponiert für Theater, Tanz, Film und Fernsehen.
Ihre letzte Solo-CD produzierte sie unter dem"Knitting Factory Works"-Label. Eines der Lieder, "Dishwasher", dem als rhythmische Grundstruktur das Geräusch einer Geschirrspülmaschine zugrunde liegt, ist auf der Compilation "Caged-Uncaged", einer Rock/Experimental-Hommage an John Cage veröffentlicht, auf der z. B. auch Stücke von David Weinstein, Shelly Hirsch, Ann Magnuson und John Cale, Jello Biafra und Eugen Chatbourne zu finden sind. Diese Compilation wurde anläßlich der 45. Biennale in Venedig zur Ausstellung "Il Suono delle Cose" präsentiert.

is a Seattle-based multi-istrumentalist, vocalist and composer.
She is a founding member of the astonishing rock groups Tone Dogs and Nudes (whose other members are Chris Cutler and Wädi Gysi) and she usually plays and tours with the all-female Billy Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet.
She has also taken part as a singer in the CD of George Cartwright and Tom Cora's group Curlew based on the lyrics of Paul Haines and she composes for the theatre, dance, cinema and television.
Her latest solo CDs have been released on the Knitting Factory Works label. One of her songs, Dishwasher, which uses the drone of a dishwasher as the basis of its rhythmic structure, is included in the compilation Caged/Uncaged - a rock/experimental tribute to John Cage, with other tracks by musicians and performers such as David Weinstein and Shelley Hirsch, Ann Magnuson and John Cale, Jello Biafra and Eugene Chadbourne. This compilation was the soundtrack for the exhibition Il Suono Rapido delle Cose, organized for the 45th Venice Biennial.
The Seattle Sound is her first radio work.
