Dinahbird AKA Dinah Nuttall is a independent radio feature maker and radio artist. Her work, which can be described as “plundersonics”, is inspired by the sounds and the people who surround her. The result is a montage of personal interviews, found, “plundered” and manipulated sounds, minimal beats and electronic music.

Never far from her DAT, she records with a variety of different microphones and never uses sampled voices other than her own work. As a result she creates discreet portraits of people in their audio environment. Dinahbird has worked as a feature maker for both French and English public radio, as well as producing her own work on cd.

In summer 2001 she founded the together with Princess Lea (DJ) and FJlook aka machine (DJ) Project 101 (http://www.project-101.com)., which is a constantly evolving project to explore the relationship between electronic music, digital and visual arts and audio work., a place where they could experiment sound and visuals without any constraint.

(She also plays as a part of a sound art/DJ collective in club and gallery spaces all over Europe.)
