Steve Heimbecker
Steve Heimbecker is a nationally recognized
inter-disciplinary composer, performer and installation
artist specializing in Audio Art and immersive
environments. He is currently artist in residence at
Vidéographe, Mtl. working on a DVD project complete with
surround sound which uses a sound recording technique he
calls Accoustic Mapping Process. After two decades of
artist practice based in Western Canada, Heimbecker has,
this past summer, moved his art studios to Montréal where
he now lives and works.
