Exploring
the relationship between sound and the
built landscape, Douglas Moffat mixes field recordings,
electro-acoustics and landscape architecture to create spaces built for
listening. His recent project Listening to Las Vegas explored
the
sonic environment of the Las Vegas Strip. He has presented works at the
Jardin de Métis Festival international de jardins and the
Send +
Receive Festival. He and frequent collaborator Steve Bates were
recently awarded the competition for OKTA, the first public sound
installation for the City of Toronto to open in 2012. He lives in
