Trained as a painter at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna (1979), Eva Wohlgemuth was a teacher at Austrian high schools for ten years. At these times she explored and developed her original "Systems"-work.
In 1989, she began - in collaboration with Andreas Baumann(CH) - System I - "Around Vienna", a conceptual location sculpture system that would lead her around the world.
Systems I-VII include:
"A House, A Wood, A Lake, A Mountain, and A Tunnel in Switzerland"
"A Trip to the Desert"
"Moving Plates"
"Red means yellow, yellow means red"
