INTERNATIONALE DIGITALE RADIOKUNST

In the end of January 1995 we transmitted "Many Many Voices" by Roberto Paci Dalò and Isabella Bordoni live from the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin - a hörspiel-performance, a concrete poetry- radio-opera, an interactive concert for human voices, drums, guitarre, accordeon, clarinets, sax and three computers. This piece was the first in our new series INTERNATIONALE DIGITALE RADIOKUNST, broadcast weekly on SFB 4 - Multikulti, each Thursday from 11 p.m. to 12. p.m.

RADIO ART to us is all that, that does not fit so well into the sometimes strict dramaturgical concepts of literary radio-drama and all that, which does not correspond exactly anymore to the traditional music performed in concert halls. Also we will not be exclusive about the word "digital' in the title of our program.

So the agenda of our new radio-art-series is a very open one. We want to show the original ideas artists of our time and the decades before that have produced in relation to the radio-medium, how they explored and used the possibilities of radio, of electronic equipment and computer programming.
