Christof Migone

Christof Migone is an audio and radio artist whose work has been presented internationally. He has performed in several festivals: Nouvelles Scènes (Dijon, France), On the Air (Innsbruck, Austria), Quinzaine de la Voix (Montréal). His writings have appeared in Musicworks, Semiotext(e), Radio Rethink, and the Drama Review. He has recently released a solo CD "Hole in the Head" (ohm/avatar). He has just returned from a Media Arts Residency at the Western Front in Vancouver and is currently working on a series of imaginary trios with the posthumous participation of Antonin Artaud, Gilles Deleuze and Erik Satie. He completed his MFA at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in Halifax.

Christof Migone has a radio body, almost invisible. Migone heads the Center for Radiotelecommunication Contortions (CRTC) where he hems, hums & haws with abandon. His research for the CRTC primarily focusses on voices; voices which are radiated, electrocuted, fondled, vexed, whispered, transpired, articulated and vehiculated, incontinent, phantomized and phased, jaundiced, post-determined and post-digital, deregulated, mellifluent, fast forwarded, battery operated, synoptic and phatic and tonsilitic, glottal and colossal, salivaphile and expectorant, lecherous, reverberated, remote controlled, transistorized, modulated, and masticated.
