24-hour live event in the local radio and TV station with audience

Günther Zechberger a well-known austrian contemporary composer will be in Innsbruck with an ensemble of 12 musicians with traditional music instruments.

Invitation to composers to participate in"horizontal radio"
Composeres are invited to send notated music - if possible by FAX, but also Internet is possible. This compositions will be made/assembled into a collage by the composer Günther Zechberger and will be performed nonstop for 24 hours by 13 musicians of TENM.
In a "work-in-progress"-procedure, a subtile web of musical information - on the one hand, notated music, on the other hand, sound samples which we will take over from other stations - will be created. This web will grow vertically (the number of instruments) as well as horizontally (time). The development of this structure will be sent to the studio in Linz every hour, will be broadcasted by two Austrian radio stations, and will be documented on Internet.
Notations - compositions:"miniatures" - compositions either in traditional or graphic notation for solo instruments resp. ensemble/s within the frame of the available instruments, with an approximate length of 5 - 40 secs.

The composers must agree to the fact that their compositions will become part of a collage. For organisational reasons, the ensemble must reserve the right to make a selection in case of too large a participation. However, this does not refer to the documentation on Internet, which will be continued even after the 24-hour event if enough material is available.
FAX-times: 22nd June, 12:00 till 23rd June, 10 a.m.The composers are requested to send short biographical material with their scores. Moreover, composers are asked to pass this information to colleagues.
