David ALARCON

Born in Valencia in 1968. Electroacustic worker. He has made sonorous creations for concerts, contemporary dance, mute films, video, performances and installations. As well, he is active on fields as recordings, publications, courses, festivals... Actually he works on a IIME Bourges commission, on one piece for the Madrid LIEM-CDMC, a video piece of A. Molina and an audiovisual spectacle for the project ãMovimiento-Inerciaä, as well as coordinating Festivals in Valencia as the ãV Punto de Encuentro AMEEä and ãCyber Artä...



Maria de ALVEAR

Born in Madrid. She studied music mainly in Spain and Germany. Since 1989 she has also been working as a painter and sculptor. Prestigious radio stations have published Hšrspiele by her. She has done as well concerts and performances in Europe and overseas. Her main work as a composer is based on the creation of a language that permits every note to be a resposible entity. A composer is a person ãEspecialista Espiritualä. Her special interest is to recover natural ancient knowledge for the spiritual increase of human life. Her ritualistic work is an energetic meltingpot for time.



Javier ARIZA

Born in Zaragoza in 1968. Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Universidad de Castilla- La Mancha. Courses of doctorate and doctoral thesis on preparation about ãSound Landscapesä. All these studies have been made at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cuenca. Since 1993 coordinates the FM Radio Fontana Mix (rfm), space for sound and radiophonic creation and searching. Coeditor of the Sound Art Magazine ((RAS)). Student of the Gabinete de Mœsica Electroacœstica of Cuenca. Since 1995 he has a grant for searching from the Junta de Comunidades of Castilla-La Mancha. Intercampus grant in 1996 for following studies at the School of Fine Arts of the Universidad Nacional of C—rdoba (Argentina).



Jose Manuel BERENGUER

Born in Barcelona in 1955. Musician, guitar player and musical composer. He has beeb researcher and teacher in the Phonos Foundation and with the Groupe de Musique Experimental de Bourges (GMEB). He has also been founder art director of the "Estudi de Musica del Centre de Joves" de la Fundacio La Caixa in Barcelona. With Clara Gare, he founds Ciclea in 1988 for developing the interdisciplinary possibilities of thought in Madrid in 1958. She graduated in piano and musical composition from the Real Conservatorio de Musica of Madrid and she has the Master of Arts in Composition and Computer Music from Stanford University (California). She has been awarded with prizes and fellowships like the Ruiz Morales, Arpa de Oro, Luis Coleman, the Ciudat Alcoy Prize and she has been selected for the SIMC. Since 1988, she is Professor of Electroacustic Composition at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Madrid and develops her research activity as director of its Computer Music Laboratory LICEO.



Consuelo DIEZ

Born in Madrid. She has been graduated on Musical Composition, Piano and History of Art. She studied at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Mœsica of Madrid, enlarging later her studies, mainly on electroacustic music and computer music, at the Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford (USA). She got several prizes and grants, has made concerts and giving lectures on Europe, America and Australia. She produced an electroacustic music programme in RNE-Radio2 (Spanish National Public Radio) and has been musical adviser on TVE (Spanish National Public Television). Now she is Dean of the Comunidad de Madrid Conservatory, where she teaches Musical Composition and Electroacustic Music.



Francisco FELIPE

Born in Palencia in 1961. Co-founded "Ars Sonoraä" in 1985, together with Jose Iges. He has been extremely active since the beginning of the 80"s in the artistic fields - as Sound Art, Mail Art, Performance and Installation. He has studied at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf and has participated in many exhibitions since 1983 in Germany, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Stonia, Finland and the United States.



Jose IGES

Born in Madrid in 1951. Industrial engineer and musical composer. He has worked with different solists and groupes in concerts and performances, as interpreter of live electronics. Since the end of 1988, he works with the artist Concha Jerez, making together installations, sound and visual interventions, sound sculptures and performances. His compositing activity is closely linked with Radio Art, having made works for radio stations as France-Culture (Atelier de Creation Radiophonic), RAI (Audiobox), ORF (Kunstradio-Radiokunst), YLE or RNE, among others. He has been co-director of the "Encuentro de Arte Radiofonico" CIUDADES INVISIBLES (Invisible Cities) in Madrid on 1992 and the Spanish participation in HORIZONTAL RADIO. Since 1985 he is producer of the program ARS SONORA (RNE Radio), devoted to sound art and radio art.



Concha JEREZ

Born in Las Palmas of Gran Canaria in 1941. Lives in Madrid. She got the Degree of Piano in the Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Madrid and the Degree on Political Sciences in the University of Madrid. Intermedia Artist.
Since 1973 she makes a great number of one person shows, large intermedia site works and performances in different countries, most of them Europea. Since 1988 she makes as well sound and visual spaces, sound sculptures and performances with the musical composer Jose Iges. Her compositing activity is closely linked to Radio Art, having made works for the RAI (Radiobox), ORF (Kunstradio-Radiokunst), Radio France (Atelier de la Creation Radiophonique), YLE of Helsinki and RNE among others. She has permanent works on museums, Spanish as well as of other countries, as the Museo de Bellas Artes, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Museum Wiesbaden...



Gregorio JIMENEZ

Born in Valencia. He made his musical studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Valencia, in which he is Professor of Harmony and Director of its Laboratory for Electroacustic Music, LEA. He has been granted from the Santiago Lope and Juan Gil-Albertâs Fundations and from the GME of Cuenca, for making multimedia projects. He has made several sound works as well for traditional instruments as electroacustic ones.



Kepa LANDA

Born in Arizcun (Baztan) Navarra in 1969. Graduated from the Facultad de Bellas Artes of Cuenca. Musica Electroacustica of Cuenca, in Arteleku (San Sebastian), UIMP (Cuenca), Circulo de Bellas Artes (Madrid). Curator from 1995 till 1996 of the Museo Internacional de Electrografia of Cuenca. She has participated on different collective exhibitions. Coordinator/coeditor of the audio arts magazine ((RAS)), of the sound art meeting SOART'95 and of Radio Fontana Mix.



Markus BREUSS

Born in St. Gallen (Switzerland) in 1956. He has studied trompet, musical analysis and composition basically in Switzerland and in Spain. Musical composer and multi-instrumentalist, he defines himself as producer, electroacustic inventor and improviser. He has performed with Alvin Curran, Orgon; St. Gallen Orchestra"s Opera; Malcon Goldstein and Philip Corner, among others. He is leader of the multi-stylistic laboratory CLINICOS and co-leader of the group Score Crackers, both centered on electronics and improvisation.



Zulema de la CRUZ

Zulema de la CRUZ Musica Electroacustica of Cuenca, in Arteleku (San Sebastian), UIMP (Cuenca), Circulo de Bellas Artes (Madrid). Curator from 1995 till 1996 of the Museo Internacional de Electrografia of Cuenca. She has participated on different collective exhibitions. Coordinator/coeditor of the audio arts magazine ((RAS)), of the sound art meeting SOART'95 and of Radio Fontana Mix.
Her musical work has been awarded prizes by institutions such as Internationale Ferienkurse of Darmstadt, Gaudeamus Foundation, Prix de Musique Electroacustique of Bourges, Fundacion Russolo-Pretella in Italy, or TIME 1994 of the UNESCO.



Rafael LININ

Born in Madrid in 1960. He holds a Philosophy Doctor's degree from the University of California in San Diego and he is Profesor Superior from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Madrid. He has taught composition, history, sociology and theory of music in the United States and in Spain. He has developed as well his facet of musical composer, vocalist and instrumentist (guitar, percussion, keyboard and electronics) in Europe and in America.
