to: Kunstradio/RIVERS&BRIDGES project from: Pekka Sirén After speaking with Hannu Karisto (documentary group), Ilkka Toiviainen (radio theatre) and Heikki Valsta (music department) we have come to conclusion that we would like to participate to R&B-project by having a 3 hour broadcast 5th to 6th of September between CET-times 10.00 PM and 1.00 AM. We are looking after Internet connection together with medialab of University of Art and Design, Helsinki(UIAH) and we plan to have two weeks "Electronic cafe" at Modern Art Museum and to realize during the broadcasting time a special Art club at the Helsinki Art Hall. For this broadcasting we look after interested stations and artist who could cooperate with us in"live" - conditions most preferably via ISDN-systems. As far we have proposed a cooperation project to Matt Thompson / BBC features and to Jose Iges / Concha Jerez RNE-2 Ars Sonora. We hope to have 2-3 more partners for our participation to R&B - project and hope to recieve proposals latest 1st of August. Some of our ideas are again to sample and recycle other stations sound and voices, but also to do something simultaneosly for a theme "YLE IS RADIO BRIDGE" Economical questions are partly open, but sending time, live performance place and some resources are clear.
