| For the event of RIVERS&BRIDGES we at the [Lyd-lab] have prepared an event on the central square of Copenhagen. Part of this square is a road called Åbulevarden (the stream boulevard). Under this, an actual stream (Å) is dug down, running through pipes all the way through Copenhagen. On this same square, the "Rådhusplads", is placed a unique gallery for sound projection, the "Lyd/Galleri" (Sound/Gallery): Through 25 speakers, dug into the concrete of the square. So in a way the central square of Copenhagen is a "rather large" bridge over the stream (Å) of the Å-boulevard. We will bring this "Å" back, to the square, whistleing from the underground of the Sound/Gallery. And we will take the same method of approach as we did in our sound postcard, using the unique word and letter "Å", and make it into a stream like soundscape. |
