Imagine a system fed from the discoveries and reflexions of two artists isolated in the Laurentian forest, not far from Quebec city. These artists are working close to a river, trying to bridge it in some ways. They send data about their work to the city.

Then, picture a gallery in Quebec city where a team of artists and technicians is trying to put on a translating machine : some kind of language microscope/telescope , a complex device that would extrapolate basic audio, video, electronic and movement language from the information received from the woods. This translation machine would ouput its data in various forms.

From there, imagine a link to a kind of lighthouse, that sends each x seconds a spark of this light, that sends at variable intervals short messages from the system : moving pictures, illuminated icons, movements. A lighthouse that also opens a door for some feedback to reach the people back in the gallery and the forest.

This third part of the project is the Innsbruck installation. It is the project of Diane Landry, an artist who works mainly on installations and performances. She will attempt to build the farmost pillar of that huge language bridge that the project La Petite Parallaxe is aiming to become.

La Petite Parallaxe is an art project put on by Quebec artists in the general context of La Parallaxe, a three year event on art and new media organized by Avatar and Obscure, two artists collectives in Quebec city.
