how many devices can you plug into each other
without getting white noise / a white screen or silence and darkness
as final result? a visual and sonic loopback-expirience with billy
roisz/gnu.
Tonight, from midnight CEST / 22.00 GMT onwards, billy roisz/gnu
will stream sounds and visuals from Kunstradio's office at the Funkhaus
as a contribution for this years send + receive festival "a festival
of sound 005".
The artist works with computer generated sounds and superimposes these
with the effects produced by a simple drum computer; the diverse sources
are mixed live. The visuals, on the other hand, are created by the
sound signal which is fed into the video input of the video mixer;
due to the pitches graphically reduced images are generated which
roisz manipulates using effects from the video mixer. She also plays
with feedback-effects - filming the images on the monitor, manipulating
these, sending them back into the mixer and mixing them with the source
material - thus producing an astonishingly dense interplay of sounds
and images.

zum diesjährigen send + receive Festival "a festival of sound 005".
