THIS CD CONTAINS 2 WORKS:
1. HAN UND AMIN
The stage directions for HAN UND AMIN call for: "The noise, loud or faint, is that of running water".
Each musician worked with different sources to produce the sound for this theater work.
2. "V" - fragmentary radio units
As computer and media musicians we asked ourselves whether it is possible to have other than military ideas when working with military technology (computers etc.) and a military medium like the radio. As basic material we digitalized exclusively original recordings ranging from the beginnings of electric news transmission to modern broadcasts Additionally significant pictures and drawings referring to radio history were transformed into music by the computer. Original recordings were used to control sequencers; e.g. Hitler's voice controls Mozart's "Kleine Nachtmusik". |
