Composition with moving pictures and sound art. Taking historic and temporary avant-garde forms, the tension between film and sound will be scrutinized - an experimental use of the relevant media in each period, from the beginnings of films with sound to video sound of the nineties. Two film programs, which will be shown at KINOimWUK, should be the starting point for a dialogue, providing a forum for discussion through the following open screenings.

The film program includes works by Fischinger, Richter, Eggeling and Moholy-Nagy to James and John Whitney, Len Lye, Kubelka, Kren as well as Renolder, Swiczinsky, Haddad, Lumpelecker, and Grill. Some of the filmmakers will be present. The film program is curated and presented by Ulrike Sladek/FilmCoop.
