Dean Roberts, Alan Licht & guests

ALAN LICHT, guitarist, songwriter and singer of Run On, Love Child and the improvisation group Blue Humans, does not differentiate between rock and avant-garde music. " A lot of the same ideas are in both, just explored in different ways." Besides many solo projects, Licht has worked with Keiji Haino, Jim O'Rourke, Thurston Moore, Loren Mazza Cane Connors, Rashied Ali, David Linto, Dj Spooky, Ken Vandermark and Jojo Hiroshige and showed what guitar improvisation is and will be. And even if he had never taken a guitar into his hands, he would be an extraordinary figure in the music business, because Licht writes the best texts, liner notes and articles on music.

DEAN ROBERTS, New Zealand guitarist and electronic specialist, who currently lives in New York, studied intermedia arts and electronic music at Auckland University. A grant from the Creative New Zealand Toi Aoteraroa enabled him to work internationally as of 1997. In 1998, Roberts was invited as artist in residence at STEIM, Amsterdam, where he developed his projects further with Live Electronics. In December 1998, he released the CD "All cracked medias", his fifth solo album.
