Róbert Gál

He was born in Bratislava in 1968. In Prague—where he has lived
since 1991—he studied philosophy and sociology at Charles
University.
He worked as a dramaturge and as an editor for a publishing house and
for a magazine. Today he is a free-lance writer and a performer. He has
published ten books from the confines of poetry and prose, such as
Nihil sub sole novum (1995), Epigraffiti (2001), Znaky a
príznaky (2003), Manipulzácie (2005) and Na
křídlech/Agnomie (2010). He publishes in Czech, Slovak, English
and other languages. Some compare him with Kafka and Nietzsche, others
with Cioran.
