Kilian Jörg ist Philosoph und Künstler, nomadisch zwischen Wien, Berlin und Brüssel unterwegs. Er ist Gründer des Kollektivs philosophy unbound und beschäftigt sich hauptsächlich mit ökologischer Epistemologie, sowie den transdisziplinären Schnittstellen zwischen Philosophie und Kunst.

Kilian Jörg works both artistically and philosophically on the topic of ecological catastrophes and how their transformative potential can best be conceptualized and utilized. His previous publications address club culture, political backlash from an ecological perspective, distancing culture in the age of catastrophes, and a speculative religion of waste. Kilian's current research explores the automobile as a metaphor for our toxic entanglement with modern lifestyles. Kilian also explores the socio-psychological effects of living in ecocide and radical activist strategies of land occupation such as the ZAD in France. In addition to books and other publications, Kilian makes performances, installations, films, and other multimedia artworks on these and other topics. Kilian also works in various collectives, both artistically and as an activist, including Futurama°Lab, Stoffwechsel – Ökologien der Zusammenarbeit, philosophy unbound, the Post-Human Social Club, im_flieger, and is affiliated with the SFB Affective Societies at the FU Berlin. Kilian also teaches at the School of Transformation at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and in the Sculpture and Environment department at the University of Art and Design Linz.
