The participating artists have a common fascination for daily life tragedy and work with "ordinary" materials and found footage. Hence, they also work with ordinary materials, objects, and fragments. For simul/T, they will put loudspeakers in the middle of their audio-visual projects and bring them to life in various places at various times.

simul/T is a time-model working with materials of different origin (and also with Dirk Zoete, Michael Ballou, Rik De Boe, Thomas Broadbent). Morrens' work is divided in three "personae" : PM, Herman Smit (observer) and Point Blank Press (office for direct language).

The performances will not only take place at KHEX but also outdoors, and in two concerts. They offer cinema for the ears and music for the eyes (see Cellule d'intervention Metamkine on May 11 and Musique concrète on May 13 in the big hall of WUK)

PETER MORRENS / Lier
Morrens works on a never ending process of simultaneity. He is also one of the organisers of "Voorkamer" an artists-initiative in Lier "Like every bad handyman, I like to unfold things and I never get these things together again. I'm always excited about the beauty which is revealed in such moments." (Peter Morrens 1998) He uses colors, words and pictures to build objects. The beholder unknowingly penentrates the artist's thoughts and looks for the sense of reality and imagination. Morrens looks at his work as a process in which every activity has its tensions. Without visible hierarchy, photos are juxtaposd with drawings, texts, sounds, and pictures. The experience of space and time generates the context for his work.
