In his sound works, Haapoja often combines nature and cities soundscapes for contemporary electronic folk music, different time layers in sound textures and overlapping habitats. Haapoja's works have been presented in Helsinki, among other places In New York, Oslo, Berlin and in Espoo's modern art museum EMMA.
